How it all started

My bookkeeping career started in 2007 when I answered an ad for a receptionist position that turned out to be a full-charge bookkeeping role. At the time, I knew nothing about bookkeeping, but the company's books were in rough shape and I found that I actually enjoyed cleaning things up and making sense of the numbers while learning the trade.

I'm a certified bookkeeper, Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor and I've spent the last three years working extensively with QuickBooks Online. Over the years, I've worked with a variety of businesses and have always appreciated the challenge of bringing chaos to order. I never imagined answering that ad would lead to a bookkeeping career, but here I am nearly twenty years later, still loving what I do.

When I'm not running numbers or learning something new, you'll find me spending time with my family or enjoying time on the water. The ocean has always been one of my favorite places to unwind and it's part of the inspiration behind the name High Tide Bookkeeping.
